Every spring my kids and I work on our gardens. They aren't anything huge, which works for us at the moment. We plant our favorite fruits and veggies like cucumbers, zucchini, strawberries, tomatoes and peppers. We also try to shake things up a bit and try a new plant each year. The kids spend their days working on prepping the grounds, gathering the plants we like and finally plant them. After that, they are watered and carefully watched over to make sure they are growing.
By the time summer comes around, the small seedlings are growing strong and are covered in flowers. It is a big day when we can harvest our first vegetables. So far this year, our beans and zucchini are rocking, and we are enjoying the plentiful bounty already. We make everything we can with the fruits of their labor, which includes our favorite... zucchini bread.
