Candle Care Instructions and Recommendations
Share
Please follow these instructions to enjoy your candle.
- Upon arrival, make sure your wick is no longer then 1/4" to prevent tall flames and mushrooming on the wick. (I personally trim all of the wicks from the candles I make to meet this)
- Burn your candle for a minimum of 2 hours, to allow for a complete melt pool, so the wax is liquid all the way across the vessel.
- Do not burn for longer than 4 hours. DO NOT POWER BURN!!!!
- Do not leave candle unattended when in use or near objects that are flammable
- Do not leave candle burning on surfaces that can adversely react to heat (for example: do not leave burning on a wood surface, can cause a burn mark)
- Keep candle away from pets and children
- Do not blow out the candle when extinguishing, recommend the use of a snuffer.
- Please handle your candle with care!!! It will be hot!
- Let the candle cool down for a minimum of 6 hours before relighting
- Leave at least 1/2" of wax at the bottom to ensure safety, any less can cause the vessel to explode.
If you follow these recommendations, you shouldn't have any issues with any candle you use. If you decide to ignore some of these guidelines, there have been plenty of freak accidents that I'm sure you have heard occurring.
